Open landscape and altitude Lightroom presets
3 packs for open landscape and altitude photography, from $29.99 to $199. Every pack shown before and after.
Distance is the problem out here. Between the camera and a ridge ten miles off there is enough atmosphere to grey the entire far end of the frame, and the usual correction, contrast and haze removal until the ridge returns, takes the sky down with it and leaves salt and sand looking dirty rather than pale.
Land, Light and Seasons by Solsticeview is 468 presets and splits the job three ways. There is the ground itself in Alpine Air, Desert Light, Salt Flat, Steppe Wide, Continental Dry, Afternoon Lean and Drone Overhead for the nadir frame. There is the sky above it in First Light, High Noon, Hard Sun, Cloud Cover, Closed Sky, Storm Front, Sea Fog, Monsoon Grey, High Latitude and Last Warmth. Then there is the time of year, from Spring Green through Summer Heavy and Autumn Road to Winter Pale and Polar Summer.
Land and Light by Horizonlux is 324 and carries the same ground and sky collections with a shorter seasonal run behind them. Highland Thin by Plateaublue is 18 for altitude on its own, where the air is thin enough that blues go hard and shadows turn cold before you have touched anything.
For forest floor, water and close ground rather than long views, the green and nature group is the better place to start.
