Night and astro Lightroom presets
3 packs for night and astro photography, from $29.99 to $99. Every pack shown before and after.
After dark the edit is mostly decisions about noise. Lift the faint signal and the grain comes up with it. Set the black point high and the sky goes flat grey; set it low and the stars you drove out for disappear. These looks make that call at the point where the signal still holds.
The group runs from the sky down to the street. Deep sky, the galactic core, star trails and meteors need the faint end opened without the town's orange coming up behind it. Aurora needs the green to keep its structure rather than smear into one band. Blue hour and sodium streets are the opposite problem: plenty of light, all of it the wrong colour.
Light Pollution by Blackzenith is eighteen looks for that orange cast, for anyone whose sky is never properly dark. Aurora Curtain and Noctilucent Cloud by Electricsky is thirty-six across two rarer subjects. Night System by Nightcurve is a hundred and forty-four and covers the whole night, from blue hour city and sodium street to deep sky, the core, star trails, meteor watch and lunar detail.
Shooting from a town, start with the pollution pack. Travelling for skies, the system covers more of what you will point a camera at.
