Light and weather Lightroom presets

Golden hour is a small fraction of the year. The rest is cloud with no edge to it, rain on glass, fog eating the far half of the frame, or a sun straight overhead putting the shadow of a nose on a lip. None of that has to be rescued into something it never was. It has to be graded honestly and still come out as a photograph.

Flat light and hard light fail in opposite directions. Under a closed sky the whole file lives in the middle of the histogram, and the job is to find contrast without inventing a light source that was not in the scene. At noon both ends are already gone, highlight and shadow together, and the job is to bring the midtones back into agreement with what survived.
