Nothing on a wedding day is lit for the photographer. The ceremony hall is tungsten with one bright window at the far end, the reception takes its colour from whatever the venue hung off the ceiling, and the dance floor changes hue several times a minute. Behind all of it sits a full card to deliver and a client who will notice if the fortieth frame does not match the fourth.
